The Challenge

French Connection distributes globally through retail stores, e-commerce, wholesale and licensing channels and is committed to offering a premium experience, ensuring the customer is at the heart of the business. However, their e-commerce growth stretched resources thin, making it tough to keep stock up while boosting traffic and revenue.

The Objective

We aim to understand the user's preferences and purchasing patterns, ensuring they stay engaged and are directed to product pages. Our objective is to boost sales by optimizing stock availability and minimizing missed sales opportunities, all while reducing the workload on employees for restocking products.

Business and Competitive Analysis


Time to look at the competition. From the interview process, we uncovered some of the competitors and compared them. This gave a great understanding of French Connection's position in their market and gave some ideas on how we could improve user retention and conversion to the product display page and checkout. Their competitors seem to understand the importance of personalization and product availability

Proposal for MVP


We have selected the MVP based on highest Reach and Impact and Confidence.Salesforce Cloud Integration Salesforce had the technology to trigger an event that would pull pre-defined stock inventory count and upload/update to our e-commerce platform.Users would now be able to see the exact quantities available based in their respective Country.

Automated upload and replenishment of product skews through Salesforce Cloud Systems resulted in product upload time and employee effort to be dramatically reduced. This long and tedious task is no longer a factor and employees can focus on other areas of e-commerce maintenance and overall business growth.
